Event description

The presentation provides an overview of the Microsoft Business Intelligence stack, including the SQL Server toolset:

  • SQL Server
  • Reporting Services
  • Integration Services
  • Analysis Services

The presentation aims to develop an understanding in the audience of how flexible and powerful knowledge assets can add value to an organisation.

The BI team at C5 Alliance plan to use Jersey-based case studies to illustrate how tangible value can be derived from the intangible assets of an organisation.

There will be a discussion regarding the perceived future development of Microsoft BI technology at a strategic level.

Speakers

Dan Hare, Director – Dan provides consultancy and design in data based analysis, design and solutions for the financial services industry, specialising in the hedge fund, banking and fund management sectors

Adrian Tompkins, Senior Consultant – Adrian is a business intelligence consultant specialising in SQL based solutions, primarily within Microsoft technologies. Most recently, he has been focusing on data warehousing, regulatory reporting, financial analytics and legacy database migrations.

Peter Warrell, Senior Consultant – Peter Specialises in SQL Server based solutions. He has developed data warehousing solutions to provide automated transaction processing and reconciliations as well as business and management information reporting in a regulated environment.

David Grady, Senior Consultant – David specialises in Business Intelligence, systems integration and information assurance, backed by an applied understanding of organisational consultancy.

Gary Stewart, Senior Consultant – Gary is a business intelligence consultant specialising in SQL server based solutions. His business analysis, project management and accounting skills allow him to work on projects in a variety of roles. He has worked on a variety of projects from, extracting data from legacy systems for portfolio valuation, creating client profitability solutions, analysing and mapping business processes for a finance department.
