This event outlines the use of Microsoft Operations Management (MOM) tools and their fit to the IT industry standard of best practice ITIL – the IT Infrastructure Library.
It will cover what MOM is, and the potential for gaining proactive management over the technology estate within the organisation. The fit to the ITIL and MOF (Microsoft Operations Framework) will back up this view within technology support services.
Attendees will be given an insight into the future with a presentation of an overview of the system centre roadmap.
This event should benefit both technology management and support staff by making them aware of the technology, its potential to provide proactive management tools, and a view of where the technology is going in the future.
The event should last about 1 hour 15 minutes. BCS members attending this event will be able to claim 0.5 CPD points for continuous professional development.
