Speaker: Dr Stephen Chiang (IT Director, Chief Minister’s Department – Information Services)

Event Description

The States of Jersey, in common with many other organisations, depends heavily upon ICT to deliver services. The nature of the States of Jersey, being a mixture of both national government and local authority, means that there is a great diversity of activity across the States, and that the ICT issues are challenging. The “change” initiatives, political, organisational and cultural, have provided both an opportunity and a challenge for those responsible for ICT in the States.

Stephen Chiang, the Information Services Director for the States of Jersey, will speak about the computing environment in the States, the organisation, strategy and architecture work that supports and underpins current and future activity, some of the specific projects underway and some of the challenges.

Members will first be electing committee members for the next term of office. There will then be a short break for refreshments before the presentation by Stephen Chiang.
